Job Description

As the Director of Silicon Program Management at the fast growing Xilinx Data Center Group, you are responsible for driving planning and execution of silicon across DCG and various technical disciplines throughout the different phases of the silicon lifecycle. Our silicon enables compute, network and storage solutions for the future data centers. We are looking for experienced professionals with a silicon background that can drive the full silicon design lifecycle from concept through production. In this role, you will engage with architecture, engineering, product marketing, manufacturing and internal and external partners around the world to define, plan, design, build, test, and ship products with advanced silicon solutions. You will utilize your technical know-how and program management skills, to drive program schedules, proactively anticipate and identify gaps and resolve technical issues that enable on-time quality silicon delivery. You will be working closely with executives, often presenting program updates and risks. 

Education Requirements:

  • BS/MS Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering + 12 years of relevant experience.


Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience on silicon development, management
  • 5+ years’ experience leading a full SOC design flow, from concept to mass production.
  • 3+ years of technical Program or Project Management experience.
  • Experience leading a large global matrixed cross functional development team with high tolerance for ambiguity and risk
  • Proven ability to develop and drive complex execution plans
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining successful relationships with partner organizations
  • Effectively make and facilitate crisp decision making under time pressure
  • Understanding of hardware and software integration challenges.
  • Familiarity with both analog and digital design and development flows (pre and post silicon).
  • Experience working in a dynamic fast-paced engineering environment and real-time crisis leadership skills.
  • Strong desire to own/drive project development using well defined metrics.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Experience working with external Vendors and customers is a plus
  • Well versed with the tools for issue reporting, bug tracking and communication of program risks and status.
