An exciting opportunity to participate in the management and execution of Xilinx Tax Department responsibilities, including oversight and management of tax reporting and compliance for EMEA (including India), tax audit support, US and global tax provision review and support and participation in global tax planning. The role will suit a candidate with experience in international tax issues, including experience with a U.S. multinational company. The successful candidate must have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and work closely and proactively with numerous functional teams across the Xilinx organisation.

The role will report into the International Tax Director and be based at our EMEA HQ in Citywest Business Campus, Saggart, Co Dublin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the corporate income tax compliance and quarterly tax provision process within EMEA
  • Work closely with the EMEA finance team on the preparation of tax entries for statutory financial statements
  • Co-ordinate the compilation and administration of global R&D tax credit claims
  • Manage intra-group transactions to ensure compliance with group transfer pricing policy
  • Support the International Tax Director on key aspects of tax planning initiatives and other projects including group restructuring, reorganisations and other commercial transactions, as they arise
  • Provide input and support to the global tax team on tax audits and controversies
  • Work with the wider finance team and local advisors on indirect tax matters within EMEA and other international locations
  • Be a key participant within the global Xilinx finance team in identifying, analysing and implementing the best solutions for the company as a whole.
  • Perform technical research related to the tax effects of various business transactions and/or the effects of proposed and newly enacted tax legislation, court cases, etc.
  • Review and implement tax technology solutions, where applicable, which can assist with compliance and reporting obligations of the group

Qualifications, Competencies & Experience

  • AITI qualified with a minimum 5-6 years post qualification experience, preferably working with a Big 4 practice or within the tax function of a PLC/MNC.
  • Experience working across a broad range of tax heads – Corporate Tax, Income Tax, Indirect Tax and Transfer Pricing.
  • Working knowledge of Accounting & Tax IT systems – Oracle, SAP.
  • Good knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Role may involve some foreign travel, primarily US and some EMEA.
