Reporting to the Director, Corporate Accounting this position is a dynamic role within the Corporate Accounting team based in Dublin and is primarily responsible for certain key monthly  / quarter end activities and project deliverables together with certain project activities. This highly visible role involves working in cross functional teams across  multiple jurisdictions so good communication and networking skills are required.


As the role has a group reporting element it is viewed as an important role where the right person will have the opportunity to make a difference and contribute to the advancement of the team and self.

 

Role Scope / responsibility

  • Support the monthly consolidation process and monthly / quarterly consolidated reporting to Corporate.
  • Perform relevant reconciliations to and within the General Ledger and participate in all Balance Sheet Reviews
  • Assist team members in the month end & transactional processing of the US and Corporate subsidiaries
  • Support the quarterly intercompany cost sharing process
  • Assist in the preparation of SEC quarterly reporting (10Q / 10K) and in the preparation and filing of US Federal/US State/International statistical filings.
  • Participate in the preparation and organization of audit schedules for quarterly, interim, annual and internal audits
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors as part of quarterly review/ Interim & year end audit/ Sox testing
  • As required work on specific projects encompassing ERP alignment, process and internal control realignment

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • US Multinational experience and/or group reporting experience with good understanding of GAAP.
  • Big 4 trained background and/or post qualified
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to see the bigger picture
  • Ability to work and adapt in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Experience in delivering as part of a project team
  • Ability to embrace change and implement process improvements
  • Flexibility to meet reporting deadlines and deal with priority requests
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with different functions / regions / cultures / stakeholders with a customer service mindset
  • Comfortable presenting and reporting to senior management
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems with Oracle knowledge an advantage
