Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Software Development: Develop Bare Metal firmware and Linux drivers for power management (EEMI), platform management (System Device Tree & Lopper), heterogeneous compute management (OpenAMP) for Xilinx SOCs.
  • Open-source: Upstream the Linux, ATF, Lopper & OpenAMP solutions.
  • Safety & Security: Responsible for all the phases of functional-safety (FuSa) artifacts & security best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside teams across timezones to identify & solve problems.
  • Continuous learning: Willingness to learn broadly on the job.

Qualifications:

  • BS with 2+ years of related experience or MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related equivalent.
  • Strong in C programming language.
  • Coursework in operating systems, embedded systems, computer architecture - good understanding of hardware and software concepts and interfaces.
  • Hands-on experience doing development on Linux machine - shell, git, make tools.
  • Some hands-on experience with ARM SoCs and Embedded system hardware.
  • Familiarity with Linux kernel & device drivers is a very big plus.
  • Familiarity with FPGA programming is nice-to-have. 
  • Familiarity in Python and Tcl are nice to have.
