The Database and Data Analytics Product Marketing Manager position is in the Datacenter Compute and ISV ecosystems marketing group, located in San Jose, California. Success in this role will require database and data analytics subject matter expertise with an aptitude for defining market strategy and collaborating with engineering, ISVs and sales team to grow the Xilinx data center business.

 

Subject Matter Expertise

Deep understanding of the database, data analytics, machine learning workloads and infrastructure required for production deployments in the cloud and the enterprise. A solid understanding of the underlying technologies currently deployed to accomplish acceleration. Working level knowledge of the different database and data analytics sub-markets and disciplines: data warehousing, big data, graph databases, wide columnar store. Strong relationships with industry leading database ISVs.

Database and Data Analytics Market Strategy

  • Define an comprehensive market strategy for Database and data analytics acceleration using Xilinx FPGAs and ACAPs
  • Modeling for overall markets and its various sub-markets, projecting revenue expansion over the next 2-5 years
  • Defining and executing strategic objectives to expand database and data analytics business in key areas (e.g. industry leading ISVs, Graph databases, Big data warehouse)

 

Business Ownership

  • Own the business direction for database and data analytics including decisions for resources deployment based on ROI
  • Track and report overall business, provide various updates to executives on progress within database and data analytics market penetration

Product Definition

  • Identify product gaps in the database strategy and work with engineering to close those gaps. This includes Silicon gaps (long-term) as well as board and library gaps (mid-term).
  • Capturing market requirements for products and working to define engineering deliverables to those requirements
  • Defining market requirements for engineering

ISV Ecosystem

  • Identify and develop key ISV partners for developing solutions pursuant to the overall database and data analytics strategy

Market Outreach

  • Comprehensive outbound marketing strategy to expand the customer base
  • Work with business development group to target customers and expand revenue
  • Communicate to customers about specific capabilities that FPGA can accomplish

 

Sales Enablement

  • Create marketing material to enable sales to penetrate industry leading database and data analytics customers

Education Requirements
 BSEE required. MSEE or MBA preferred with 7+ years of relevant industry experience
