We are looking for high calibre software engineer to join our expanding Cambridge team to work on Xilinx’s ultra high-performance network acceleration OpenOnload technology.
OpenOnload provides breakthrough performance improvements to applications, including high speed financial exchanges and hyperscale applications. The technology behind OpenOnload involves working with low level software, kernel and operating system design, hardware design, an understanding of leading-edge CPU design and optimization.
To be successful you will have the ability to quickly understand a complex hardware and software architecture. Ideally you will have experience of software at the hardware / software interface involving networking in some capacity, programming in C, ideally on Linux kernel components.
The role may involve working with Xilinx’s top tier financial, enterprise and cloud customer base, hardware vendors and also with linux community projects.
We are looking for engineers with a very strong academic background in a numerical subject (e.g. maths, physics, computer science) or of similar calibre.
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software, owning full software lifecycle. The following are an indicative list of job responsibilities.
