Senior Design Methodology Engineer

Role Description

The Data Center Platform Infrastructure team develops leading-edge technology and methodology to build Xilinx Alveo platforms.  These are the foundations that enable the next generation of accelerated applications, used by the top data center companies worldwide.  We have a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who is passionate about helping others to do the right thing and work more easily and efficiently.

You will join an experienced and accomplished international team, working with cutting-edge technology and systems, including next generation FPGAs and Alveo accelerator cards.  You will architect and develop the design and verification methodologies and flows for building and testing IP and platforms that enable adaptable hardware acceleration, providing enormous opportunities for learning and self-development.

Skills

Required:

  • Experience in creating design, build and/or verification methodologies and automated flows
  • Experience in design and implementation for FPGA
  • Tcl scripting, particularly to drive EDA tools
  • Perl
  • Experience in using Linux as a development environment
  • Problem solving and debugging
  • Ability to work with global teams

 

Desired but not essential:

  • Experience with Xilinx Vivado and/or Vitis tools
  • Experience building FPGA designs that use Dynamic Function eXchange or partial reconfiguration
  • Experience with Verilog and RTL design
  • Experience in C++ and/or OpenCL

 

Qualifications

  • Batchelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.  Candidates with less commercial experience but who hold an advanced degree in an applicable discipline with relevant academic experience will also be considered.
