Signal Integrity Characterization Role & Responsibilities:
characterization team is looking for a highly motivated individual to characterize
the Signal & power integrity of Xilinx MPSoC products. He/She
will work with other related design teams to define test plan and characterize
the product to ensure power and signal integrity of the devices for high speed
but not limited to:
- Drive Power
& Signal Integrity methodology development for new generation of
- Design and
develop functional tests for measuring signal & power integrity for an
ARM based SoC system and programmable logic
integrity measurements & analysis to ensure device meets silicon noise
spec and validate decoupling strategy.
switching noise/output (SSN or SSO) analysis for I/O power & core
- Eye diagram
and jitter analysis for high speed I/O
analysis and timing budget validation for high speed interfaces
- Work closely
with designs team to correlate simulation & characterization results
candidate should be/possess the following attributes:
with lab measurements using oscilloscopes, TDRs, VNAs, and spectrum
a strong background in electro-magnetics
in relevant high-speed interfaces like DDR4/DDR3, LPDDR3/4, high-speed
serial interfaces like PCIe, SATA etc
with HSPICE, HFSS, Q3D, PowerSI, and Agilent ADS is desirable
understanding of statistical analysis
- Demonstrates fluency
in the application of different characterization test methodologies to
appropriate tests with minimal guidance.
- Knowledge of
scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl or Phython
Years of Experience
- BS in EE, ECE or related field; MS preferred
- 7+ years of experience in system level Signal & Power Integrity Including board, Package & die
