Senior Financial Analyst – (E.5)

   

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Xilinx Finance team as we continue to grow our business through data-driven forecasts and insights. This Sr. Financial Analyst position will provide extensive business partnering to companywide R&D and marketing team to drive analysis needed for senior executives. This individual will be responsible for a wide range of activities in support of business decisions and management reporting. In this role, you will manage program level development cost, build models and provide analysis to assist in management’s decision making, be responsible for partnering with senior leaders and drive consistent process across whole Xilinx.

 


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

     

  • Partner with Finance and key business leaders to manage the Engineering investments. This will include personnel, capital, discretionary spending, software and hardware infrastructure tools, and licenses.
  • Build strong partnerships with Engineering for budget support and analysis, including tracking of expenses and monthly close activities
  • Measure engineering program level performance including ROI, NPV, PI and other financial metrics to assist engineering management in measuring operational performance and prioritizing investments

  • Work with senior engineering management to drive semi-annual engineering program headcount survey to collect labor investments for various engineering programs
  • Comfortably managing the access database consisting 20 years span of revenue, COGS, R&D expenses data at program level and drive process improvements on labor survey and ROI roll up
  • Develop model to measure and report the operational metrics and perform meaningful analysis to assist management’s decision making
  • Detail oriented and highly analytical to translate data and trends into powerful strategies and compelling messaging
  • Enthusiastic in making process improvement to seamlessly integrate multiple models and improve on data flow to improve on efficiency




 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics or engineering field
  • 3-5 years practical work experience in finance, accounting, consulting or engineering
  • Strong problem solving & analysis, business acumen, teamwork and communication skills are expected
  • Experience in Semiconductor industry is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and its analytical toolkits is a must
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Oracle OBIEE are highly desirable   
  • Hands on experience with Oracle ERP, SmartView and Tableau is highly desirable
