Description

The Xilinx University Program empowers academic teaching, research, and entrepreneurship with Xilinx technologies:

  • provides support for teaching, training to professors through workshops

  • gives students access to our latest technology

  • organizes academic contests and hackathons

  • enables new business and technical opportunities through research partnerships

In this role, you will support the engineering and business efforts necessary to ensure that our academic customers have a great service.  You will make use of your passion for innovative technologies to help us to continuously streamline our engineering and business processes.

A Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For

  • Promoting use of Xilinx technologies in Academia in EMEA and worldwide

  • Developing technical projects and supervise intern projects as required

  • Creating teaching materials, labs, demos and application notes

  • Delivering technical training workshops

  • Supporting conferences, trade shows and customer-facing events

  • Supporting XUP customer queries and technical issues in EMEA and around the world

  • Working in close partnership with other local Xilinx teams and external partners to support XUP customers

  • Maintaining effective relationships with Xilinx University Program teams in rest of world

  • Contributing to the specification, evaluation and development of FPGA development systems for use in academia

  • Identifying and disseminating examples of best practice in teaching and research

  • Being familiar with latest developments in the related markets and local industries

  • Continuous process improvements and automation of XUP operations

Education Requirements

 

  • Familiarity with FPGA-based system design
  • Familiarity with embedded system and cloud development
  • Experience with general software programming, development and test processes
  • Familiarity with Web development
  • Exposure to open source community very desired
  • Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision and running with new initiatives
  • A passion for technology, education and business
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: comfortable working with cross-functional, remote teams
  • Customer support skills
  • Willingness to travel as required by the needs of the position

                     

Education Requirements

  • MS/BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
