The Global Benefits Director is responsible for developing and executing a world class Benefits and Wellness strategy that enables successful execution of the Xilinx mission to Build an Adaptable, Intelligent World.

 

This role will set the strategic direction and the execution of Xilinx’s global benefits programs, including health and welfare, retirement and wellness plans. The Global Benefits Director reports to the Senior Director Total Rewards and will play a key role in the development of our Total Rewards strategy to attract and delight Xilinx employees around the world.

 

The Global Benefits Director will possess a deep comprehension of global benefits; a proven record of leading and developing teams; a creative and sophisticated approach to effective program design; an expertise with vendor management; and a relentless passion to optimize the employee experience through our Benefits programs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic planning, design, implementation, maintenance, regulatory compliance, communication, and administration of our global benefits programs.
  • Educate and advise on global benefit trends and opportunities. Assess competitive market data to create, recommend, and implement strategic plans for optimizing benefits value and delivery.
  • Manage US Health and Welfare programs including the annual open enrollment process and renewals.
  • Develop a comprehensive communication strategy to ensure employees are aware of benefit options, informed about strategies to maximize utilization and recognize the value being delivered.
  • Enhance the awareness and effectiveness of the global Wellness program.
  • Manage the US 401(k) and Deferred Compensation programs for competitiveness and compliance. May include the development of agendas and materials for the associated plan committees.
  • Oversee the domestic and global vendor network including brokers, third party administrators and partners to ensure benefits are designed and managed efficiently and delivered effectively.
  • Leverage technology and employee satisfaction data to ensure the benefits portfolio represents the most efficient investment of resources.
  • Partner closely with global Accounting, Human Resources, Legal, Payroll, Tax and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration, accurate financial and time-off reporting, compliance with local tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to develop program budgets, manage expenses and forecast variances.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 8 years focused on domestic and international benefits plan design and management.
  • 5+ years of experience in a management capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA or a MA/MS in human resources or related field a plus.
  • Experience with a multi-national, technology company.
  • Experience with HRIS software (Oracle, SAP, Workday, etc.). 
  • Solid understanding of global benefits requirements and legislation.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities - people management experience required (will have direct reports)
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Results driven leader with a demonstrated record of developing and executing strategies with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Approximately 5-10% travel to all regions.
