Events & Marketing Program Manager

 

The Event & Marketing Program Manager is responsible for managing marketing events and marketing communication programs in the EMEA region. 

Working with the various marketing functions in Xilinx and the EMEA sales and technical teams, the successful candidate will be required to develop and agree with their manager a rolling calendar of events and marketing programs comprising for example - tradeshows, Xilinx events and partner events that drive demand creation and lead to revenue growth in EMEA.

 

They will then be required to own, localise and implement those programs for maximum effectiveness, recruiting and working with cross-functional teams, following established processes and timelines, being accountable for the success of each program. 

Key tasks: 

Drive program definition, including objectives, strategies and success criteria, for all event types in collaboration with global marcom, sales and marketing 

Plan and execute the program, including the following tasks: 

- Recruit virtual teams 

- Develop plan 

- Define team member roles & responsibilities 

- Communicate with all stakeholders 

- Schedule key deliverables 

- Coordinate all activities 

- Manage the event budget 

- Liaise with the venue or event organiser 

- Acquire, manage, distribute and track marketing equipment & collateral 

- Attend and manage the event on the day 

 

- Gather and record relevant metrics 

- Compile and deliver a report to all stakeholders after the event 

 

 

 

Essential

  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Understanding of Integrated Marketing Campaign strategies and tactics
  • Self-motivation and drive
  • Appreciation of the cultural and language differences across EMEA

Desired
  • 5+ years of marketing experience (ideally in a high tech environment) including program management 
  • Tertiary qualification in a marketing related field 
  • Proven ability to effectively execute integrated, streamlined marketing programs 
  • Exceptional written & verbal communications skills 
  • Ability to drive results through collaboration and relationship building at all levels of an organization across the disciplines of marketing, sales, technical support and finance, both within and outside the company 
  • Creative thinking with the ability to bring new ideas to the table and solve problems that arise from time to time
  • Multi-tasking, handling a multitude of different responsibilities at one time, whilst paying close attention to detail
  • Ability to understand marketing data and analysis and develop recommendations from these insights
  • Ability to work intelligently and effectively in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Strong work ethic
  • Computer savvy; Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products
  • B2B marketing experience (desired)

 

Education Requirements

Tertiary qualification in a marketing related field (desired)

 

Years of Experience

5+ years of event/marketing program experience (ideally in a high tech environment) including program management
