Xilinx is seeking an experienced compiler developer to lead a team of skilled software engineers on the Xilinx SDx Compiler team. Xilinx SDx Compiler, which includes Vivado HLS as a core engine, can take C/C++/OpenCL code and compile it efficiently to Xilinx FPGA and ACAP Data Center and Embedded acceleration platforms. As Xilinx is driving towards its devices as a mainstream computational platform (examples being cloud compute servers, storage servers, network servers, autonomous car platforms, video surveillance platforms), advancing software programmability of our devices becomes paramount. In this context, we are in the process of developing our next generation SDx Compiler, that will incorporate latest compiler advancements in the industry and innovate compiler technologies specifically target to FPGA architectures. The new SDx compiler will require lesser understanding of the hardware details and enable broader set of software community to program efficiently to our devices.
The candidate will be responsible in technically leading and mentoring a significant part of the SDx Compiler team. In this role, as a leader on strong team of compiler experts target to FPGA, you have the opportunity of guiding active research of various compiler techniques applicability to FPGA, developing additional technologies as well as driving the team to deliver on a robust, high-quality and user-friendly world class compiler. The successful candidate must have a strong technical foundation in software complier technology, demonstrated experience as technical lead and mentor, and a passion for groundbreaking innovation in a fast paced development environment.
