Software-acceleration is one of the hottest topics in the world of computing. With the advent of machine learning, computer vision, and other high complexity workloads, Xilinx FPGAs have emerged as the ideal custom computing platform.

 

Xilinx is looking for highly motivated engineers with an Arm software development background to drive development of the SDx tool suite.

 

The SDx tool suite enables customers to create hardware accelerated applications for data center or end points targeting both our Zynq MPSoCs or our Alveo acceleration boards in areas including data processing, machine learning, and computer vision. The tools let software developers working in C, C++, OpenCL and/or OpenCV to easily and rapidly target our FPGAs by automating software acceleration in programmable logic to enable new applications through unprecedented low latency high performance per watt solutions.

 

Job Description

 

In this role, you will be working with customers targeting hardware accelerated applications in areas including data processing, neural net inferencing and computer vision with the goals of helping the customer be successful and understanding customer use cases to help drive tool improvements.

 

You will be working very closely with customers, partners, FAEs and Xilinx R&D to ensure successful deployment of the technology and rapid resolution of issues and translate feedback into product enhancements to improve the tools for hardware and software developers.

 

You will:

  • Work with customers to help solve their issues.
  • Determine customer use cases and evaluate the tools to propose new features and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with software development and marketing to ensure the SDx environment continues to deliver improved usability and customer visible Quality.prioritize features and bug reports against those use cases to ensure we improve the tools for our customers.
  • Author technical documentation, training materials and/or white-papers that explain and promote new features and may be required to present these to customers, partners and FAEs. 
  • Occasional travel will be required

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of C/C++, Python, and common software development IDEs
  • Application development using GPU, Xilinx Zynq and/or Arm based platforms
  • Ability to distill customer use cases
  • Ability to judge IDE against customer needs with a passion to improve UX
  • Interest in machine learning a plus.

 

Education:

  • BS in CE/CS +7 years relevant experience, or an MS in CE/CS +3 years of relevant experience.
