The NPI Product Engineer will be responsible for validation of FPGA design attributes and their impacts on product performance and functionalities during Xilinx new production introduction (NPI) to the market.

You will be working with various internal and external customers to verify product behaviors and provide the best product performance, customized to different market segments.


Other Responsibilities:

  • First silicon debug with Design and Test Engineering
  • Execute ATE test to perform DOEs and support engineering data analysis in timely manner to drive NPI process prior to volume production.
  • Need to collaborate with design and pattern verification engineer to define scope of validation and priority to ensure delivery of business results and timely feedback for design improvement on future revisions.
  • Collect and analyze product functionality and performance data to identify the optimal settings for product offerings as well as customer needs
  • Defines and develop test program flows and methodology
  • Drive final test yield analysis improvement and corrective actions
  • Assess product to enable production ship release and satisfy customer requirement
  • Working with cross function teams to debug and validate product functionality and design sensitivity

Qualifications:

 

  • BSEE and 3+ years experience in semiconductor or related field.
  • Or MSEE in semiconductor or related field.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of digital design and circuit analysis is a must.
  • Good statistical analytical, communication, team work, and troubleshooting skills required.
  • Good knowledge and debugging skill on ATE (Advantest T2K is preferred)
  • Good knowledge in a high level programming language such as C/Perl/Python, and have a working knowledge of UNIX shell scripting is a plus. 
  • Capable to work with cross functional teams and have good communication skills to efficiently resolve issues and identify corrective actions
  • Experience with FPGA architecture or CPU/firmware is a plus.
