Xilinx is looking for a talented Senior Analog and Mixed Signal (AMS) Product Engineer in the Global Operation and Quality department. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Involvement with Xilinx AMS IPs such like System management blocks, PLLs  and their applications for characterization and productization
  • Development of metric driven ATE/ bench automated test solutions working with Xilinx frameworks/environments to productize mixed-signal IPs;
  • Collaborations with design teams and test engineering teams to
    • Deliver a cost effective and efficient production solution for Xilinx analog and mixed-signal IP blocks.
    • Define manufacturing flows and test metrics

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering or embedded systems or equivalent with 5+ years of experience
  • Or a Ph.D with 1+ year of experience
  • Strong understanding/Knowledge of Mixed-signal circuit (ADC/DAC and PLL) architecture and operation for Test and Measurement
    • Understand the relevant parameters affecting performance
    • ADC/DAC linearity and static/ dynamic parameters (Offset, Gain, INL/DNL, SNR, SFDR, THD, ENOB, IMD, HDs, and etc.)
    • PLL Jitter transfer/tolerance and noise measurements
    • PLL Settling
  • Develop test solutions to debug and characterize new silicon, both on ATE and rack instruments.
  • Ability to debug on the bench – experience with oscilloscopes & high speed measurement techniques
  • Understand high speed ATE testing to work with test engineers to develop new test types.  Develop test patterns for volume characterization on the ATE
  • Firmware development/Embedded operating system experience is plus using IC communication protocols such like JTAG/I2C/SPI/PMBUS
  • Able to write Verilog, C to generate test patterns
  • Proficient in scripting and objective-oriented programming languages  such like Python, Perl, JMP, VB/.NET for  data analysis – e.g. file parsing, string manipulation, search algorithms, analysis of statistical test results
  • New Product Introduction (NPI)  experiences include generating a test plan from datasheets, test pattern development, data analysis.  Working with design for bring up and debug.  Documentation of test methods and results.
  • Experiences in the development of verification environments and methodologies at block and chip level are plus
  • Good problem solving skills and self-driven
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with teams
