The Director of Reliability Engineering will be responsible for Xilinx’s NPI qualification which meets the expectations of customers and achieves time-to-market goals.  With the ownership of product reliability, the Director will work with cross-functional teams to assure DFR during product R&D phase and to provide guidance for reliability improvement over the product lifecycle. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Establishes and maintains an integrated methodology to assure product reliability from technology development to production for all Xilinx’s new technology and new products. 
  • Deliver and execute qualification plans by collaborating with the R&D, Product & Quality teams.   
  • Provide product reliability assessment for internal updates and customer communication
  • Fluent with product qualification communication, as well as executive reporting.  

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in handling semiconductor, packaging, board and system level reliability challenges.  Experienced with making decisions and executing qualification plans. 
  • 5+ years proven track record in people management.
  • MS and above degrees are preferred in EE, Devices Physics, Materials Science or related fields
  • Experienced with mitigation methods for reliability risks in leading edge devices, packages and assembly processes  
  • Experienced in failure root cause analysis, Weibull Plots, and data analysis
  • Excellent in logical thinking,  good and quick judgement in reliability risks,  great people skills in exchanging opinions and forming alignment
  • Experience with reliability tools such as Weibull statistics, JMP,  LabVIEW or other
  • Familiar with application environment of FPGA products & reliability requirements;  system level experience in key application areas preferred.  
  • Familiar with best practices in DFR, Change Management as well as basics in design, process,  and test engineering.
