Xilinx’s Corporate Development Team, based in our San Jose, CA headquarters, is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing the company's strategic acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and divestitures. This responsibility is company-wide and global, directly reporting to Victor Peng, Xilinx CEO.
 
We are seeking an exceptional Corporate Development Senior Analyst to help identify, assess and execute new strategic opportunities across both M&A and corporate venture investments as we strive to create maximum value for all Xilinx stakeholders.
 
The Corporate Development Senior Analyst will play an important role in supporting the Corporate Development Team's overall projects and activities. This role will also be responsible for conducting market landscape research, competitive analysis, reviews of business opportunities, and creation of strategic recommendations, and both internal and external relationship building.  Importantly, there will also be meaningful opportunities to engage with our CEO as well as cross-functionally with Executive Staff of Xilinx.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing decision-making frameworks for evaluation of acquisition and investment opportunities
  • Support senior leaders driving consensus on complex strategic questions with engagement from senior management, cross-functional and cross-regional teams
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations with strategic framing, analysis, and recommendations
  • Develop insightful analysis of key industry trends like Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, competitors, customers, new and amended regulations, etc. and inform the organization of their strategic implications
  • Identifying and evaluating (both independently and in collaboration with Xilinx's business units) potential candidates for acquisition or investment
  • Conducting rigorous valuation analyses (using multiple methodologies) and business/integration case modeling in order to provide detailed guidance regarding potential acquisitions or investments
  • Coordinating due diligence reviews of potential candidates, and evaluating the due diligence results.
  • Facilitating and managing acquisition and investment processes with cross-functional groups involving persons from our Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering/Product Development teams
  • Coordinating with external transaction execution service providers, including investment banks, law firms and consulting firms

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience. Work experience at a top-tier investment bank, strategy consulting firm, private equity or venture capital firm is preferred; MBA graduates are welcome to apply as well.
  • Experience in settings that require critical thinking, problem solving, and sharp analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to work well in a team and with people in other functions, to multi-task and to thrive in an unstructured environment
  • Strong project management skills including ability to drive multiple end-to-end projects simultaneously
  • Interest/experience with high-tech industry and/or semiconductor space is preferred
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Organized, self-starter, and ability to adjust to a quickly changing landscape
