Job Summary

This exciting position in the Xilinx IP Data Center Solutions and IP connectivity Engineering group will provide an individual the opportunity to demonstrate strong technical knowledge in this very dynamic and fast moving solutions group.

 

As the Senior Engineer you are expected to participate in multiple aspects of technical IP and solutions development including IP design and verification  for individual IPs or IP subsystems , work closely with end customers, work with cross-functional, cross- geography teams from front-end development through Productization. This position requires the individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, able to work on complex designs and solutions  and willing to directly work with customers and Xilinx field staff on new product definition  and supporting existing products

 

Essential Functions: 

  • A major part of your responsibility will be to work in a technical role in delivering and contributing to multiple  phases of the product development cycle from architecture through implementation, prototyping, validation and support
  • Executing IP design ,development, FPGA prototyping ,for  PCIe/Hyper Memory Cube (HMC) IP and other Data Center Solutions.
  • The individual should be able to participate in and act as a senior technical engineer for various architecture and implementation reviews within the development organization.
  • Requires working with stakeholders to develop comprehensive testing plans including Compliance and Interop testing.
  • Critically Review and provide feedback on the Design Implementations and Verification plans       

 

Job Requirements

 

 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers, across multiple geographies, and cross functional teams  and have strong technical  skills
  •  Detailed understanding and proven track record of developing leading edge standard and proprietary high speed serial interfaces like PCIe and associated architectural understanding
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers about existing and new product directions and technology
  • Working knowledge of Verilog, System Verilog, programming languages (C/C++/Java) and scripting languages (Python/TCL etc) desired
  • Extensive experience with high speed logic design, timing and power optimization design techniques, Expertise in Verilog/VHDL RTL design and simulation, hardware debug and bring up is required.
  • Expertise with FPGA architecture and software tools highly desired
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing major functional blocks in one or more chips in compute, networking and storage areas.
  • Expertise in one of more connectivity protocols including PCI Express, 10/40/100Gbit Ethernet, Infiniband as well as memory interfaces such as DDR3/4
  • Expertise in SDN/NFV and  new trends in networking, storage and compute areas preferable
  • Experience with post-silicon validation, debug, and performance characterization, high speed interface characterization and compliance/interoperability
